2)  MA -Television Journalism, City University, London.

(This MA involved on-camera presenting/reporting as well as much more).

My experience working the other side of the camera also informs my acting. Having trained as a TV Journalist, and worked as a camerawoman, editor and director, I am particularly understanding of directors' and editors' challenges/requirements, such as the importance of continuity.

3)  MA -English Language & Literature -Oxford University,
 (Pembroke College).

This MA helped me as an actress in various ways:
  • Improved script analysis skills, ability to understand and analyze verse, appreciate subtext, themes, etc.

  • Studied literature throughout every period in British history so familiar with the English language through all ages. We even learnt Anglo-Saxon! This obviously helps my understanding when acting older plays e.g. Shakespeare, Marlowe, Jonson, etc. (This understanding has been enhanced by reading, watching -and acting in- numerous classical plays).

  • Did an optional Film Analysis course -exposed to a range of genres and acting styles.
  • Chosen dissertations: Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde. Read their complete works, studied the historical context, greater understanding of the language, themes, etc.
