Specifically, it is widely acknowledged as having the best Broadcast and also TV Journalism MA courses in the UK.
Gained A Lot of Experience & Numerous Skills:
Made weekly news packages and documentaries.
Was involved with every aspect of production (idea generation / ability to spot a story, researching, writing shooting scripts, filming, editing, presenting, technical, etc).
Presented -inside the studio and on location.
Worked on technical studio roles (filming, sound, autocue, directing).
Created documentaries. E.g. I presented/reported a 30 minute documentary about intensive rabbit farming. (We worked in groups of three and I wrote the script for this and was heavily involved in research and setting up interviews with politicians, animal charities and factory farm representatives).
During term time and holidays: worked with BBC Current Affairs, BBC Drama and OR Media (who make programs for Al Jazeera, Channel Four, BBC and Discovery Channel).
Documents(/essays/scripts/etc) that I wrote for this MA can be downloaded from the 'Writing' sub-tab (found under the 'Other Reporting Skills and Websites' menu option on this website).
Received Distinctions in almost every module and overall.
